Phalanx is a teaser single release for the HARDCORE TANO*C HARD album MEGATON KICK 3. The artwork is a variation of the final MEGATON KICK 3 album artwork, with the pink splatter at the bottom of the album associated with USAO's de facto TANO*C artist color of pink, as seen in the IRREGULAR NATION and HARDCORE SYNDROME series. The brown color of the MEGATON KICK mascot's arm thrust may be from USAO's color representation from artworks of the teaser singles "TAPIOCA" from HARDCORE SYNDROME 13 and "You & DIE" from MEGATON KICK 2.
