Patagonia is an EP by Argentine ambient composer Andres Alborok, released in November 2025 on the Canadian label Signal Alchemy. The release is positioned within the organic ambient genre, combining analogue synthesis with field recordings from the natural environments of southern Argentina. The EP features slowly evolving synth pads, subtle harmonic progressions, and layered textures that intertwine with recordings of wind, water, and forest. These elements were captured in Los Arrayanes National Park during Alborok’s travels through the region. Rather than serving as background atmosphere, the environmental recordings function as compositional voices within the music, shaping its flow and continuity. The tracks were initially developed using a mobile studio setup while Alborok was in Patagonia. Inspired by the stillness of lakeshores and the quiet rhythms of forest landscapes, he translated his observations into composed ambient pieces that emphasise gradual development and restrained variation. The resulting works reflect his broader practice of merging synthesis, field recording, and sound design into immersive, nature-infused soundscapes. Alborok, based in Córdoba, Argentina, is known for creating ambient music that incorporates analogue synth textures and carefully recorded environmental sounds. Influenced by artists such as Brian Eno and Oliver Patrice Weder, his work explores the emotional and sensory possibilities of sound through minimal, contemplative compositio
