"Out There" is an album by two members of the musical outfit formerly known as The Who Boys as well as their some-time collaborator, John Shed, who is now a fully fledged member of this three-man outfit called Ooboiz. This is their first album together since Party Songs For Outpatients in 2009. It is a complete departure from that album and their earlier material. An electronic ambient exploration of the outer limits of song form, a journey over two sides of continuous music through memory, consciousness, dreams, time and space, veering from relatively conventional song forms to abstract sound and everything in between, using ambient noise, rhythm, melody, harmony, singing, spoken word, scraps of conversation, parts of words, syllables, micro-sounds and even echoes of words to explore the possibilities of sound and form. Er...and other stuff like that. Featuring additional voices by Beverley Manson and Johnny Cole. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
