about this album

With the release of his 5th studio album, Dawson James goes down home. Reaching deep into his childhood roots singing Country Music. Dawson grew up in log cabin in the mountains outside of Sedalia, Colorado. When he was a small child he used to perform a duet with his father who is a talented country music songwriter. This 2012 album is a songwriting collaboration between Dawson James and his father Rod DeVries. It hits home with both younger and older Country Music fans and also reaches the Blues and Rockabilly crowds. The New album “Our Country” produced in Nashville, TN by family friend Bobby Terry, is the biggest production of Dawson's career. Bobby Terry and Rod DeVries have history working together in the mid 90's. Bobby produced the #2 Billboard hit “Local Call” written by Rod DeVries in 1995, Dawson was just 10 years old.
