OU818 was recorded a year before the Warner Bros. debut was released, and the demo is basically a sampler of the songs that would define their first album. OU818 is a great moment in the band's history where they had finally become a truly virtuousic group with outstanding musical chops. "Mr. Nice Guy" is a bungle classic which can only be found on this demo. The song was a live standard, and this recorded version features an incredibly funny outro which must be heard to be understood.
