"Once In Love" is the fourth independent recording from Thief Taker. It was recorded at Ivolv Studios in Bradford, UK around September 2009. It was recorded in 5 hours and features 2 new original tracks and 1 previous original track, reworked. Track 1 - "Coming On Strong" (This is an updated version of a song that was originally titled "Not Good Enough." This recording features new lyrics, new arrangement and new effects. Its an atmospheric, angry, funky, emotional song with heavy use of the wah-wah pedal and lyrics telling of a relationship getting too heavy too quickly) Track 2 - "Obscene" (Obscene is a dynamic, angry, funky song. Leaning more to the groovy side of things and less emphasis on emotion. The song uses jazzy chords, heavy rhythms, and dynamic structure to gain momentum. The lyrics suggest a feeling of being helplessly infatuated with someone even though they are clearly not the greatest person alive. This is a working title and has thus evolved further since the recording.) Track 3 - "Waltzing" (A dynamic and atmosheric song, Waltzing's story is told both lyrically and sonically. The idea of someone casually "waltzing" around getting on with their day, before suddenly been thrown back into an incredibly intense sense of romantic nostalgia, and then back to continuing on with the "waltz." Listen to the track to really grasp the idea. The song was heavily influenced by Jeff Buckley's Grace album.) User-contributed text is available under the Creative Common
