about this album

Released March 15, 2019. “Obserwacje” is the debut material of Non Violent Communication (or NVC). However, there are no debutants behind the new name - the group consists of musicians of such recognized bands as Merkabah and So Slow. Non Violent Communication, however, does not duplicate the experience of the parent bands - it is an entry into the world of music on its own terms, without relying on proven labels. Credits: Rafał Wawszkiewicz - saxophone Lukasz Lembas - bass guitar Michał Głowacki – electronics Arek Lerch - drums Four fully instrumental tracks bring the best in improvised playing located on the border of psychedelia, ambient and jazz. The album is filled with massive clouds of icy electronics, characteristically feisty saxophone parts and intriguing rhythms, for which the disciplined bass and downright picturesque drum parts are responsible. Four individuals decided to play for one goal - the organic composition and teamwork ensure a unique feeling. The whole, despite its loose character, is designed with jewelery precision, and the intricate construction does not deprive the music of its free, relaxed shape. Thanks to this, “Observations” in its weight category seem to be one of the most important albums this year.
