In the two years following the release of Epsilon's 2002 Bloody Fist debut 2x12” 'extol.nihil' (FIST28), Brendon Brooks had been extremely prolific, self releasing two full length CDRs (sold exclusively at Hunter On Hunter gigs in 2002), and starting his own mini CDr label eps666.net (solely producing and hand-assembling the first 3 releases). Not only was Brendon prolific in music production, he was also deft at design. The FISTCD04 project was a joy to release from a label perspective, as everything had been completed by the artist and handed over – recording, mastering, artwork – all of it submitted and ready to go. Consisting of new and recent Epsilon material, encompassing breakcore, chiptune and pounding hardcore / speedcore, 'Now Drill 3rd Eye' was released April 2004. Two tracks from the 'extol.nihil' 2x12" (FIST28) were included in the final tracklisting, with several of the newer tracks from the album making it to wax, appearing on both the Epsilon 'Christ As Bath Toy' 12” (FIST34), and the split 12” with Aftermath (FIST35) later in 2004.
