Huey's debut album for the label, Notebook Paper, was released on June 19, 2007, described by Allmusic as sounding like a mixture of Nelly, Chingy, and Ludacris. The album reached number 26 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 29,000 copies in its first week of release. Nelly's refusal to work with Huey on his debut album prompted 2 diss tracks "Down, Down, Baby" featuring Tha Camp Boyz and "Back At Cha". The first single from the album is "Pop, Lock, and Drop It" produced by The Bakery. In the video, it has a dance which is mainly for females. The second single slated for the album is "When I Hustle" which features Lloyd, adding his R&B expertise. The smooth song is touched by producer Jazze Pha providing another one of his signature instrumentals. The retail version of the album leaked to the Internet on June 15, 2007.
