Pete Brown was made for music.... For the most part of 20 years he has produced, played, engineered, written, lived and breathed music...in all it’s creative guises....and at last we have a wonderful work (an Album) from this extremely talented musical being. ’Not Before Time’ is Pete’s first foray into the world of solo artistry. ... and not a minute too soon. Pete has been engineering from the age of about 12, professionally since he was 16, and has worked with many acts including Sade (“Diamond Life/Smooth Operator”), Nick Lowe, Dusty Springfield, Edwin Star, Courtney Pine, Status Quo The Specials, Jerry Dammers, Everything but The Girl, Yellow (“The Race”), Swing Out Sister (“Breakout”), Black (“Wonderful Life”), and George Harrison. As a Record Producer, some of the acts Pete has worked with are The Mighty Lemon Drops, The Soup Dragons, The Violet Hour, Big Country, Joe Brown and multi-platinum artist Sam Brown. As a singer and guitarist Pete has performed live and on record with Sam Brown, Joe Brown, David Gilmore (of Pink Floyd), Dodgy, Anathema, Dennis Locorriere (of Doctor Hook), Kate Richie and Deep Purple. His first instrument is guitar, but you will also find him strumming, picking and plucking away at his mandolin and mandola, He can turn his hand to bass, has also been known to bang a drum or two, and is an accomplished whistle player....
