"Nolan Ryan Is Not Pleased EP" was released May 3, 2012, a year after the St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series. Jokes were made about the Texas Rangers' owner Nolan Ryan who looked disgruntled after a sloppy game six loss and an EP spawned of it. It was Playing Possum's first release with David Smith (Cathedral Fever) on drums. It was also the only release with drums engineered by Spencer Medley (Cathedral Fever, Path of Might). The song "Dadfest 20011" was named after a suburban garage show the band played where a banner with the year 20011 was displayed. "Singles Night" was Derek Rife's (Cathedral Fever, Path of Might) favorite on the EP, which was dedicated to him most shows.
