“Niche Syndrome” (Japanese: Nicheシンドローム) is the fourth original studio album by ONE OK ROCK. It was released one year and seven months after their previous album, Kanjō Effect. The word niche means “gap” or “hollow.” The title reflects the band’s intention: “In an age where music tends to fall into niche industries—songs aimed only at specific audiences—its essence can easily be lost. We want to create something better.” The limited first edition of the CD included a secret bonus track, the playful “Otoko to Onna ni Tsuite” (“About Men and Women”). The accompanying DVD contained the promotional videos for Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer, Jibun ROCK, and Liar, as well as a live performance of Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer. In addition, the limited edition CD jacket differed from that of the standard edition. The song from the album, "Wherever You Are", peaked at #4 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and stayed for 89 weeks. The song was used on NTT Docomo's phone commercial series, "Kazoku-hen". Their single "Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer" peaked at #40 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and stayed on the chart for 18 weeks. The release of Niche Syndrome was followed by a Zepp Tour titled One Ok Rock "This Is My Own Judgement" Tour, spanning from June 27 through July 23, 2010.
