Neolunar is a new project of Tamás Kátai, creator of well-respected Edinburgh-based avant-garde metal band Thy Catafalque. This album however has no common ground with metal, yet the somewhat weird amalgam of different stylistic elements is still present. Electronica, retro futurism, dark wave, jazz noir, pop music are melted together in a dreamlike, dark, film noir vision. Occasional sax and violin awashed in reverb, silent urban spaces explored. Midnight flânerie. Music for the city, the night, the sleep. Featuring world-class London saxophonist, David Jean-Baptiste and Dimitris Papageorgiou on violin. credits released July 1, 2016 Tamás Kátai - vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards and programs with David Jean-Baptiste - saxophone Cat Purchase - additional saxophone Dimitris Papageorgiou - violin Rocio von Jungenfeld - narration Recorded, mixed and mastered between 2014 and 2016 in the City of Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
