Album
Necessary Evil is American singer Deborah Harry's fifth solo album. It was released on September 17, 2007 and was her first solo album containing new material in 14 years. According to Deborah Harry, recording the album was a slow process and initially started with a collection of previously written songs that were not intended to develop into a full album. The singles were "Two Times Blue" and "If I Had You". The majority of the songs off of the album were written by Deborah Harry, Barb Morrison and Charles Nieland together with some help from Guy Furrow and Sean Dempsey on a few tracks. The album was produced by Charles Nieland, Chris Stein, Barb Morrison and Bill Ware. To promote the album, Deborah went on Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Tour in 2007. Necessary Evil debuted at number 86 on UK Charts and number 37 on the US Independent Chart. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
