naked lunch is the debut album by the chiltons, released on May 4th, 2021. A description of the album from the artists Bandcamp: these were all recorded sporadically over the months. most of them through logic pro, some on a four track and one was done as a voicememo. anyways, the title comes from the book 'naked lunch' by william s. burroughs. the book is a collection of vignettes and clippings and stuff that burroughs had written through the years (his friends later helped him mush it altogether) so although they're all unrelated, messy and non linear, they sorta share the same feel or energy or whatever and make for a pretty interesting read. which i guess links back to the songs and sorta explains what the compilation is about. non linear, awkward (debatably shitty), but all a product of a similar head space i suppose. so even though concept albums aren’t really my thing, the idea of calling this one could work in my favor so I'll roll with it.
