Album
My Back Is Killing Me Baby is the fifth album made by American musician Will Toledo under the moniker Car Seat Headrest. Three of its songs would reappear on his first Matador release, Teens of Style. Toledo would later describe these songs as incomplete, asserting that the final versions are the ones appearing on the Matador album in question. The best example of the changes between the albums is the drastic difference of lyrics between the My Back is Killing Me Baby version of “No Passion” and the Teens of Style version, in which the majority of the lyrics are changed. The album’s name is derived from the first line of “Father, Flesh in Rags”, which appears on the album as track 7.
