Graffiti Bridge is the twelfth studio album by American recording artist Prince and is the soundtrack album to the 1990 film of the same name. It was released on August 20, 1990, by Paisley Park Records and Warner Bros. Records. The album was written as a soundtrack to the feature film Graffti Bridge, written and starring Prince himself, his band The New Power Generation and The Time. The movie is considered a massive box office flop and criticized for its terrible writing, sets, and acting. The album was recieved much more positivily compared to the film, hitting number 6 on the charts in the United States. Despite there being a large number of artists working on the album, nearly every song was written by him, it had two hit singles, "New Power Generation" and "Thieves in the Temple" both written by prince. Written as a sort of celebration of his new backing band, New Power Generation. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
