Released 2004, the album brought a heavier edge to the usual punk rock sound heard in earlier albums. MMHMM also marked the introduction of the piano in the band, played by lead singer Matt Thiessen. The Album went Gold in July 2005. The mainstream success of the album also pushed their previous albums "Two Lefts Don't Make a Right...but Three Do" and "The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek" to Certified Gold.
