Mind Goes Blank is the third album by Surg1, released on January 21, 2022, through his label Terminal Code Records. The album further shows experimentation, by further utilizing samples in such different ways, and also explores genres like Chopped & Screwed, Breakcore, House, and Hardcore Hip Hop. Although the title of the album is partially inspired by DJ Screw & Point Blank’s "My Mind Went Blank", he also interpolates this as a point of never wanting to do anything or having anything in mind, thus procrastinating. A single was released before the album was, followed by two other songs he leaked on SoundCloud. "Please Take Care To Urself" was the first song to be leaked, followed by "Aires". "Knives Out Of My Way" ended up becoming the official single to be released through streaming services, with "Online Status (feat. ANSRAND)" as a b-side. This provides a turning point to Surg1’s career, as in its debut week, it became one of his most successful albums.
