about this album

Mexecho, one of his most brilliant albums, was released in 1991 by the German label Erdenklang, although most of the music had already been composed by late 1988. In 1996, his previous albums began to be re-released in CD format by the French label Spalax. Xolotl is a versatile artist. As we have noted before, painting and writing are activities that he combines with that of composing. He has written numerous essays and articles, like for instance Art and Culture, Art and Technology, or his memoirs (titled Journal d'un Artiste Américain). In the field of painting, he is the author, for instance, of the covers of many of his albums.
