"Mass for the Dead" is a bootleg double CD containing material recorded by L.A.A. in 1990-91. Falsely attributed to The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud, it circulated on the internet at enormous sums (it’s been sold on eBay for $275). In 2001 Alzbeth (The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud) and Andy (Vatican's Children) decided to counter this bootleg and published "Crypts of Tears" (finally attributed to L.A.A.). Alzbeth's comment concerning the bootleg release: "Andy and me were thinking a while and finally got to the conclusion, that the third person in the band must be involved into this 'release', we both would never issue what we didn’t want to issue years ago, and the three of us (Andy, Albin and me) were the only persons having access to the original tapes. The worst point is the false name that cheats fans and collectors and the high price that’s being pushed by the state of secrecy and that is in no relation to the value of the two CDs (that are in fact only one real CD)." Andy’s comment: "I am painfully touched by the circumstances of this bootleg; I dearly remember the period when we three fullfilled our emotions and ways of musical expression as a band. The split was comitted in friendly terms and we all swore that we’d never release any of the material ever. This secret release, even worse - under the name of TMLHBC - against our will - is a severe strike towards me and Alzbeth.
