Album
Album: "Magnet To Steele", the long out of print and one & only album by Canadian female rocker CHRISSY STEELE is being reissued digitally. The record was in fact the brainchild of talented Brian 'Too Loud' MacLeod (Chilliwack, Headpins), his last contribution to the Melodic Hard Rock world before sadly succumbed to cancer at the age 39. Chrissy Steele was already a veteran of the Canadian bar scene with her bands Room Service and Reform School when she was asked to join MacLeod's The Headpins in late 1989, following the departure of lead singer Darby Mills. The material featured on "Magnet To Steele" was originally slated to be a Headpins album, but due the growing unrest with their label and MacLeod's illness, it was decided the album already in the works should be released as Chrissy's solo debut rather than on actual 'Headpins' record. All songs are co-written by MacLeod / Tim Feehan ("Two Lips" together with Loverboy's Mike Reno) minus "Armed And Dangerous" by MacLeod / Jeff Paris and "Cry Myself To Sleep" penned by Mutt Lange, so you can expect top class stuff here. Chrissy Steele has a strong set of pipes to match, from a gut wrenching delivery on the hard rocker "Move Over" to her sweet sounding voice on the Heart-li
