The new album, Love Me Alone, produced by Grammy winning producer Malcolm Burn to be released October 10, 2011! Everyone loves a comeback. It’s been ten years since Jason Downs’ hit song White Boy With a Feather graced the UK airwaves… but he’s back and better than ever. After some typical music biz bullshit Jason became disillusioned with the whole scene and returned to acting for a while. During which time he made some movies, made some babies (a son and a daughter with wife Sophia) and finally found his love for making music again. As well as his own voice. The new album is a labor of love, sweat and tears that represents Jason at his rawest, most vulnerable time of life. He had a hand in every aspect of its creation, production and distribution. Since his time in the European pop market Jason’s songs and lyrical style have matured along with his rich baritone and storytelling. The new album, “Love Me Alone,” is more reminiscent of his earlier taste for sweet, sad rock ‘n’ roll and his deeper roots in folk and country. Combine that with a Grammy winning producer, Malcolm Burn (Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel and Chris Whitley), and you’ve got magic. Enjoy!
