Album
Burst Synapse's first EP. These tracks were almost all written around Christmas 2019 while I was off work and finally had time to work on music. These tracks come from a time when I feel like I'm understanding the world a little better, but it's also getting more confusing and alienating around me. I've felt the need for songs that express certain feelings I've had, songs which don't exist yet. So I made them. Songs about the amorphous aesthetics of fascism, songs about spitting in the face of a colonial state that doesn't care for the rights of indigenous people, songs to make trans kids mosh and to scare the shit out of transphobes who think we're weak, songs about the feeling of being watched when you're asked to constantly self-audit your work. Hopefully some of you felt the need for those kinds of songs, so here they are: raw, angry, poorly mixed, and DIY. Thanks to Bryan Garris, Rob Marton, Dave Witte, Jon Chang, Greg Kubacki, J.R. Hayes, Scott Hull, Merzbow, Madison Marshall, Kriegmaster Hatesturm, Chris Colohan, kode9, Damon Albarn, Malcolm X, Guy Debord, Dante, Björk, and Dylan Walker for giving me so many good ideas to steal without asking.
