about this album

Eric Culberson is a blues guitarist and singer-songwriter from Savannah, Georgia. His first album, 'Blues is My Religion' (1995, Kingsnake Records) reached #24 on the American national blues charts, other albums include 'No Rules To The Game' (1998, Kingsnake Records), 'Live at The Bamboo Room' (2005, Independent Release) and the new album 'Is What It Is' there will be a late spring (2010) release. After over 17 years of playing and almost a million miles on the road, on a warm November evening in South Florida, The Eric Culberson Blues Band recorded its first live CD for official release. And what a glorious night it was! The sold out crowd was enthusiastic from beginning to end, and the band was loose, relaxed, and energetic, turning in one of their finest performances ever. Eric was in top form, and bass player Rodney Smith and drummer Stuart Lusk were locked in all night. The bands versatility is highlighted, as virtually every style of electric blues is featured. why this is interesting

# Live at the Bamboo Room This album captures something rarely preserved in studio recordings: the spontaneous energy of blues performance in its natural habitat. Recorded during a single November evening in South Florida, the album documents Culberson's artistry after nearly two decades of relentless touring—experience that translates into both technical mastery and interpretive depth. Rather than polished studio arrangements, the live setting reveals how a seasoned blues musician responds to audience presence and acoustic circumstance, allowing instrumental conversations to develop organically. The album stands as an honest document of contemporary blues practice, interesting precisely because it prioritizes authenticity over production value, offering listeners insight into what genuine blues performance sounds like when the recording equipment simply captures
