Album
Lara Fabian is the debut eponymous album by Belgian Canadian singer Lara Fabian. It was released in 1991 and selling over 100,000 copies was first certified gold and would later go platinum. The album was produced by Rick Allison with whom Lara Fabian had just moved in Quebec from Belgium to start a music label in Montreal. The first promotional single to be released was “Qui pense à l'amour ?”, but the album would become really successful with the release of the two next singles: the upbeat “Le jour où tu partiras” and the love ballad “Je m'arrêterai pas de t'aimer”. Most of the songs on the album have been written by Lara Fabian and Rick Allison. Three of the songs on the album were written by a third collaborator, Franck Olivier.
