about this album

“Labels” is the third single by Edson Charntor, which talks about being yourself and dismissing any insults or labels others have made on your appearance/personality/etc., because individualism is precious and you don’t need validation from others. This song speaks to me because I was called a lot of different labels when I was younger, like “fat” or “ugly” or “annoying”. Therefore, I created this so that you should appreciate yourself and dismiss any insults or labels others have made on your appearance/personality/etc., because individualism is precious and you don’t need validation from others. Because I got called on so many times by different people with different labels, I became indifferent (or rather, immune), to further statement calls from others. For instance, if you called me fat now, I would thank you and not get offended. In fact, I would use it to encourage myself to get better and prove you wrong. Therefore, I wrote this song to channel the energy from me to you. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
