Album
LA YNE (http://www.la-yne.com), aka artist Matti LAINE, is a folk musician of today, a fiddler who has traded his violin to MacBook. On the debut album ancient experssions of works, magic, rites, ceremonies and needs will find their new tonal form. "Music is a journey, not a destination !". Matti LAINE's debut album, "La Grande Illusion" (Musea Parallèle, 2014) is a hypnotic experience of strong originality, blend of different cultures and brings forward completely its own and unique journey through the fascinating world of music. Musical influences picked from different corners of the world from personal explorations brings out the universality of music. Recorded on site and sampled in studio, sounds represent the urban sounds of world-music (Or music to the world) regardless of race, color, religion, ancestry, age or sexual orientation. The result is a flirt between ethnic and modern. Masai warriors on Times Square and Abos in the Eiffel Tower. Camels on the foot of Big Ben. Religious symbols in perfect harmony with each other. Life is a trip and think there should be a positive one. The album also bows to the experimental masterpieces of the Seventies and Eighties such as "My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts" (Brian ENO & David BYRNE), "Tin Drum" (JAPAN) and "Security" (Peter GABRIEL), without forgetting own style and sound. Good music, good people, good vibes... A whole new adventure ! 1 - La Grande Illusion - Ad Astra - (1'29) 2 - Par Avion - (4'06) 3 - Stigmata - (3'29)
