KiCk i is the fourth studio album by Arca, released on June 26, 2020, through XL Recordings. As the first of a five-part series, the album blends avant-pop, IDM, electronic and experimental pop with influences from reggaeton, techno and industrial music. It marks a shift from Arca's earlier ambient style, embracing pop melodies and unconventional song structures. Lyrically, it explores themes of identity, gender and culture, with Arca's coming out as a non-binary trans woman playing a key role, especially in the single "Nonbinary". The album incorporates both Spanish and English lyrics, connecting to Arca's Venezuelan roots. KiCk i received generally positive reviews, praised for its accessibility and bold experimentation, though some critics desired more traditional pop structures. It was supported by four singles: "Nonbinary", "Time", "Mequetrefe" and "KLK". The album was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards and Best Alternative Music Album at the 22nd Latin Grammy Awards.
