Album
Under the Big Top label, The Wicked Farleys would release their first debut single; Ken Theory. Releasing on 7' inch vinyl between 1997. Ken Theory is rhythmically complex in nature. Abstract and anthemic. And yet, carries post-hardcore undertones under a softly spoken voice by Michael Brodeur. You, Avatar would clearly paint the picture to their sound collage; "collage rock" tendencies described by AllMusic, and Fitchburg, MA is catchy and rhythmic, with Michael Brodeur switching between this soft and loud, almost strained vocals. While this single might've not catch the eye of the boston indie rock scene, Ken Theory would sonically help influence The Wicked Farleys' next album, Sentinel And Enterprise. The main release of Ken Theory was released on a red sleeve, but other sleeve variants exist like; a printed brownish/orange paper. Both tracks would also appear on their EP released in 99, Sustained Interest. Fitchburg, MA would be released normally while You, Avatar would be released in it's "better version" / demo, You, Avatar (Better Version).
