The song ‘Karma’ is the story of getting over a toxic friendship, with a writing style inspired by artists such as Taylor Swift, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Olivia Rodrigo. Flora needed to tell this story. It starts sadly, upset at the realisation of the situation you find yourself in, and goes through stages of anger of not knowing how to deal with the problem, then being frustrated with the way you’re being treated, until it becomes a song of freedom and joy when the friendship has been let go. The result is an uplifting song that fits directly in the pop/rock genre, with a gentle arc that builds to stadium-worthy chorus. This 3-song collection has different versions of Karma.
