Drum legend Steve Gadd, along with four-time Danish Grammy–winning saxophonist Michael Blicher and Hammond wizard Dan Hemmer, release their hard-swinging fourth album, It Will Be Alright, on September 1. The album is now available for pre-order through BandCamp on vinyl and CD, and will be available on all streaming services. To celebrate the release, the trio will tour the world in September and October. The Blicher Hemmer Gadd Trio wrote this statement for fans: Creating this album was an immense challenge. After we recorded the first tracks live, lockdown hit, and for almost three years it was impossible for us to get together to record. Instead, we met online to work on the music and plan how to finish the album. We ultimately decided that It Will Be Alright should include some songs that capture the excitement and energy of our live performances around Europe, as well as two special lockdown songs recorded in Michael’s intimate garden studio in Copenhagen just after the world began to reopen. We poured our hearts and souls into this music, and hope that you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it. Thank you for listening.
