International is Derek Lotek's solo album for 2009. This album features more hi tech gear than any previous releases. As a product of being thrilled with the results of digital drum circles featuring groovebox and laptop artists augmented by the off kilter and lo fi sound of Derek's Dry Cell Orchestra, many new devices have been acquired and exploited. While a far cry from the patch cord noise laden music of the past, the same intent of creating techno with some semblance of human touch and random chaos is present in the process.
