As musicians grow, so evolves their music; as this artist grows, so does his knowledge of production. While not quite there in terms of chart-topping, record-breaking album status, 'Interest Piques' is a major step for DaLiSh. Not only does it showcase his ability to perform without the use of chipmunk voice modulation, we recognize his potential to write a wide variety of genre-blending music. The album draws us in for its catchy hooks and clever lyrics, but lacks in the area of mixing. Still, DaLiSh's integrity cannot be questioned as he marches forth with fresh material that intrigues and entertains.
