Album
This album is available on http://bikeloops.bandcamp.com "Instructions For Sound" is the first release by Bike Loops, an electronic noise project formed in June 2013. The album was recorded over the course of five days using only one instrument, a Korg R3 synthesizer. Very few effects were applied to the synthesizer tracks in order to preserve the original signal's quality as much as possible. The album was mixed down to 1/4 inch tape for dynamic range limiting and warmth. The goal was to create a semi-hifi album with a wide dynamic range using inexpensive equipment. Each song is composed of only 2-5 tracks of audio, many of which tended to be the same synth patch, recorded with different analog EQ settings and panning.
