Infinity Boy is the first commercial extended play from rapper-producer Oliver Francis. Its release was preceded by two singles: “Carl Edwards” and “Chernobyl.” The five-track EP sees Oliver move away from the melodic, summer sound he’d established in the previous year with Chlorine and A Million Miles An Hour, focusing less on song structure and more on delivering wordier flows, supported by laidback and atmospheric self-produced instrumentals. Oliver first alluded to Infinity Boy in a post to his Twitter account on March 5, 2018: "Think I might drop an EP before OVERRDRIVE 🤔" That same day, Oliver took to Twitter again to unveil the project’s cover artwork, with its release date being revealed in a subsequent post on March 16.
