about this album

First downloadable album by Blues Balladeer Mark Nelson - not to be confused with the Canadian artist of the same name. This Mark Nelson comes from Surrey in England. Born with one arm he writes and performs his own blues and ballad songs. This self-produced album shows the different styles he writes in with touching ballads such as "Pretty Amazing" & "How do you Sleep" alongside the punky-folk of "Why should I Cry?" & ballsy blues "Kickin Blues"; whilst his very original version of the Beatles classic "Tomorrow Never Knows" is a bluesy, trippy mantra delicately performed and powerfully sung. Originally the guitarist/songwriter in rock bands Slinki Malinki & Supersmiler, he went solo in 2010 and has been performing at gigs & festivals around the UK and internationally in Romania & Kosovo.
