In late 60's The Mops were one of the most popular rock bands in Japan and their debut LP 'Psychedelic Sound In Japan' (from April 1968) is now widely considered as a psychedelic masterpiece. After one more album (blues-rock LP "Rock & Roll '70") - their classic, 3rd "Iijanaika" title was released in May 1971 on Liberty Records. It was a real rock classic, filled mostly with powerful, guitar-driven heavy progressive rock inspired by Led Zeppelin's debut LP and early Black Sabbath records. With an exception of three short ballads, it sounded quite similar to other Japanese bands, like Blues Creation, Flower Travellin' Band and Strawberry Path. Track list 01. Iijanaika -- 03:51 02.
