Album
Idolator is the 3rd studio album by Japanese melodic death metal band Blood Stain Child. It is the band's first album to feature electronic trance-accented addings to the canonical melodeath sound, making it close to the so called trance metal genre. The tracks' common metal progression is followed and sometimes interluded by the dynamic keyboard / synthesized and drum-machine parts. The track "Nuclear Trance" completely excludes the use of live drums and is mostly accompanied by the drum-machine 4-on-the-floor rhythm. Another novelty includes clean backing vocals by the lead guitarist Ryu and chants by the bassist Ryo. Idolator is the only album to feature Shiromasa as the rhythm guitarist and the last one to feature Ryo as the lead screaming vocalist. "True Blue" is a cover version of Japanese visual kei band Luna Sea originally made with a pop rock sound. The band's line-up as mentioned in the album Ryo: 4 string satanic pulse and infernal vox Violator: battery Shiromasa: 6 string psycho system Aki: technology Ryu: 6 string electro stream All songs and lyrics are written by Ryu except "True Blue" by Luna Sea Recorded in various studios in Osaka, Japan Produced by Blood Stain Child and Tue Madsen Mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios in Aabyhøj, Denmark Release dates: August 18, 2005 - Japan - Pony Canyon, Inc. label November 27, 2006 - Europe - Dockyard (German label) July 17, 2007 - USA - Locomotive label User-contributed text is available under the Crea
