I Am Cinco is the fifth studio album by American electronic alt-rock duo MISSIO, released on May 3, 2024. Structured as a deluxe-style compilation, the album brings together the full tracklists from five previously released EPs: I Am Sad, I Am High, I Am Awesome, and I Am Angry and I Am Crazy (both released alongside the album). Each EP explores a distinct emotional state: I Am Sad centers on grief and melancholy, I Am High delves into escapism and altered states, I Am Awesome reflects on confidence and self-worth, I Am Angry channels frustration and rage, and I Am Crazy navigates chaos and mental instability. Together, they form a five-part conceptual arc examining the complexity of the human emotional experience. The album’s title, meaning “I Am Five” in Spanish, signifies both MISSIO’s fifth full-length release and the unification of these five chapters. Known for their emotionally raw lyrics and genre-blending sound, MISSIO—formed in Austin, Texas by Matthew Brue and David Butler—first gained widespread recognition with their 2017 debut Loner.
