"Hot Garbage starts off in pure Georgia way. In fact, the whole recording has the word ‘redneck’ scribbled all over it. So yeah, in one sense some of the song arrangements bring to mind the best of Jackyl, alas minus the ridiculous sneer of Jesse James Dupree. Instead, vocalist Sweetwater Jones has an alluring delivery, a mean scream and some good spit work with the harmonica. So he goes, all swamp boogie on us in “The Devil’s Work”, turn tacit fuzzy hard rock in “Devilin’ Under the Influence”, seem to swing a big cock in the fantastic roll of “The Devil’s Dance Party”, seduce you into a ménage a trios in “You, Me and The Devil Make Four” (here the band drops some relentless pummeling for all the masochists), burp and charm their way into your food with “These Pancakes Are Made With the Devil’s Bisquick” and finish off with a song dedicated and about Peter Graves, which is really about the most seriously fun song I’ve heard this decade. Great album." --DeafSparrow.com - Voted Best album of the Year by The Phoenix New Times’ music editor, Martin Cizmar. - Voted “Best Hard Rock Band 2009” by The Phoenix New Times “Few bands are anywhere near as funny as they think they are — The Dagg Nabbit Stubbs is an exception” —Martin Cizmar Phoenix New Times “If a song about everybody’s favorite A&E Biography host (Fuck You Jack Perkins!
