-Facts Composed between 2003-2005 and Released in 2006 on Cyclic law records (Canada), this is the third Northaunt album. -Official press release "3rd full lenght album from Norway's most renowned Ambient Atmospheric act. HORIZONS is a collection of 7 long ambient landscapes, lonely sceneries on the verge of night, places we long for, places we have been, sanctuaries from mankind. This is desolation made audible, carefully constructed and layered with deep drones, melancholic tonalities and outdoor field recordings which makes this Northaunt's most haunting release so far." -Trivia *The first song was recorded in 2003 and also released on a split 7" with german band Vinterriket, well known from it's many releases both in the synth/ambient and the metal scene. *The second song (14min) took more than a year to finisih. *The style of the cover art/photography (which was part of a series of photos by Hærleif whereas many are still unused) was inspired by the known photographer Brad Cole. *The front picture is taken near the small city of Hammerfest in the northernmost part of Norway. *The video that is included on the cd was uploaded to youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl3ZnhYaBjs) and has been viewed 16.853(!) times since it was posted in 2006. *The video contains time-lapse footage of clouds forming and moving across a dark landscape, filmed by Hærleif of Northaunt in Trondheim Norway in an attempt to illustrate the forces of nature.
