On their new album Home Invasion, Brain Size 61 delivers a straight up rock feast spiced up with some classic punk seasoning to give their tunes that extra kick in the pants. Big guitars with cool solid riffs over thundering rhythms all tied together with quirky catchy lyrics that draw you in with an avalanche of sound. From the first track “Night Flight” coming out of the gate like a herd of bounding sludge-a-billy mastodons, the hooks never end. Every song has a story to tell in three minutes or less. The stories may be a little dark and twisted but you’re going to want to hear them again. Think Sex Pistols meet the Ramones meet Dinosaur Jr. meet The Dead Kennedys meet DOA meet… Van Halen???... Well, you get the idea… Like not quite anything you may have heard before it leaves you feeling warm and trampled like you’ve got Brain Size 61.
