This album is freely downloadable here. This is the third Acid42 output, so titled because the compositions were all started during Holy Week 2003 and finished in Holy Week 2004. Contains 4 instrumentals and 1 remix by Silverfilter. ::HOLY WEAK:: LINER NOTES Holy Weak was initiated during Holy Week 2003, the 7 days in the Catholic calendar which celebrate the passion and death of Jesus. Strangely enough, the sketches that I started during that week were anything but tranquil reflections on holiness. Rather they were angry, stillborn musical ideas that mapped out my frustration with people who could not tolerate the religious ideas that I hold sacred. Hence "Kataka-Taka" and its repressed, almost sterilized funk. It grooves along in a steady pace, meandering in circles, eventually going nowhere. Godot never comes. Hence "Fundamentalist Thinker" and its steady ambience of gloom and menace, meant to symbolize the veil with which many fundamentalists blind themselves to truths. It was never a pleasant piece to listen to in its original jagged, callous incarnation. But time and several edits over the course of a year have mellowed it enough to become palatable. Hence "Beast Of Babylon" and its lyrics. "Babylon is another place, another time, another face, another crime. Look deep inside and you'll see tradition is NOT ambition." The mid-18th century protestant church used to call the Catholic Church the Whore of Babylon, an attack on its commercialism and corruption i
