Album
Hilary Duff is the eponymous third studio album by American singer Hilary Duff. It was released on September 15, 2004, through Hollywood Records. One single was released prior to the album. βFlyβ, the lead single, was released on August 10, 2004. Critics gave the album mostly unfavourable reviews, with many drawing comparisons to the songs of Ashlee Simpson and Avril Lavigne. The album sold 192,000 copies in its first week of release and debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 list. Hilary Duff has sold 1,800,000 copies in the US so far, less than the 3.9 million copies of her debut album sold in the country. It resulted in two singles that weren't big hits and made her second consecutive number one debut in Canada. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) finally certified it Platinum. In November 2005, Hilary Duff ranked number 65 on the year-end top albums ranking published by Billboard magazine.
