Here is Alicia Keys' sixth studio album after a four years hiatus following her Grammy Award winning album Girl on Fire. It was released on November 4, 2016. "In Common" was released as the first single on May 4, 2016. It was followed by "Blended Family (What You Do for Love)," released as the second single on October 7, 2016. Here was released together with The Gospel, a 22-minutes black and white short film starring herself and produced by her husband Swizz Beatz. She described the introspective film as "vignettes of stories about coming of age in New York City" and stated that it "really represents the New York that I grew up in, and the New York that I saw."
