about this album

This is the last album by the person, who went really early before his time, Don Grolnick. He was –one could say– a somewhat underrated but actually a totally superb musician, who made his music in an ordinary, no big deal way. He inspired all big name colleagues around him with his experience and ideas. Particularly his last album makes clear that Don was into jazz composing and really good in creating the moods and tones of it. A lot of jazz people and fans do say, that this album "Hearts and Numbers" belongs to one of the best LPs in their collections of jazz. Expressed directly: great quality because of being simply a very touching kind of music! User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
