Release Date: 1-26-2010 Heartless Devil is the second release from Baltimore musician Michael Meredith. The album is more to the point than the Hopewell Exchange System release, with the South and the winds of woe blowing through blues and folk songs. Three covers on the album also tip the hat to Townes Van Zandt, B.F. Shelton, and the Rolling Stones. Hopewell Exchange keeps to the basics on this one, and you can expect banjo, guitar, and scraggly mountain singing to turn the gears on these songs.
