Hate is the second full-length album by Australian deathcore band Thy Art Is Murder. The album debuted at no. 35 on the ARIA Charts, making Thy Art Is a Murder the first extreme metal band ever to break the top 40. Lyrically, the album criticises various aspects of modern life, from politics and religion to social issues and the environment. The album was recorded and produced by Will Putney during the month of April 2012 at Machine Shop Studios in New Jersey, United States.
