SUPERSAN - Half Man Half Clap (2017) We are at the late 00s - early 10s. The unexplained amount of alternative electronic music that is coming out of Greece is at it's peak. Independent labels, innovative DJs, wild club nights, legendary venues and radio stations are popping up like mushrooms one after the other across the whole country. It's not surprising that quite a few of them lean towards World and Exotic Music. The sea and the sun are more than helpful for inspiration and the Mediterranean climate is more Tropical than ever. The frenzy of the Greek nightlife is like an avalanche since forever. At one of those nights Kostas, aka Panama Cardoon, and Valantis, aka Mister Kentro, met for the first time in the little city of Arta. Kostas is a DJ with more than 15 years experience, co-founder of the Tropical label Carnibal Records, and a Rubber Duck hunter. Valantis is a DJ for over a decade, a virtuoso accordion player, and founding member of the Balkan Riddims digital reggae family. Their multi-genre DJ sets that shook the dancefloors were enough to establish a mutual respect for each other, despite the fact that they were coming from different musical backgrounds. The duo started working together in 2014 with the idea of uniting the Tropical spirit with the Carribean and Jamaican styles into an album.
